Photo of Michelle DeBergeI am Michelle DeBerge. I wanted to write a cookbook for one because most single people don’t take the time to cook for themselves. Some don’t think it’s worth the time, and some just don't know how. I created this cookbook so that a single person can make a fabulous dinner with very little time and effort.

I am an International Professionally Trained Empowerment Coach, Full Time Foodie and a Home Chef. I have gone to cooking schools in Northern and Southern California, Spain, Mexico and in France. I have just completed my first cookbook.

Family Favorites for One!

One of the things we miss when we dine alone is our family favorites. I am talking about the Sunday dinners: pot roast, roast chicken, meat loaf, pasta, etc. along with interesting salads, brunch dishes and even appetizers.Cover of Family Favorites For One Cookbook

I believe that even if we dine alone, we really need to nurture ourselves. Take a moment to try one of the recipes; your house will start to smell of those familiar aromas, and then you get to sit down to a wonderful tasting meal.

These recipes have been created with lots of Love! As you will see – and taste! - The flavors and ingredients are meant to help create meals that are appetizing to the eyes and the palate, offering you an easy dining experience.

Expect a mouthwatering experience that translates traditional family dinners into the perfect portion just for you. These recipes were meant to fill the body and warm the soul with tradition plus ease.

The goal of this book is to make it easy for you to come home and create a wonderful dinner with ingredients you have on hand.

Imagine This

Minutes later you sit down with a delicious dinner and your favorite beverage. You light a candle, watch your favorite tv show or read a good book. You are relaxed and enjoying a wonderful dinner!

Dining alone should be something that you can enjoy and feel good about. With this book, you know the food will be good.

People just like you have tested every recipe. People who come home from work and want an easy-to-prepare, delicious meal for one.

From one dish meals to appetizers and side dishes all for that one special someone. You! Her recipes use simple ingredients that can be found in any grocery store and are easy to prepare. The best part is you don't have to be a foodie or a practiced cook to prepare these scrumptious comfort foods or mouth-watering dishes. In the past, cooking food for myself meant cutting recipes in fourths or being in the kitchen for hours AND having to eat the same dish all week long. Now I can cook something I love every day in a short period of time with little or no leftovers! "Family Favorites for One!" is my perfect tool for feeding my stomach, lifestyle and soul.”
